Antibiotics Unearthed Citizen Science Project

04 May - UK

As part of Antibiotics Unearthed we are running a Citizen Science Project. The aim is to engage the public, through a practical-based soil activity, with the global issue of antimicrobial resistance and address some of the challenges associated with the discovery of novel antibiotics.

Overview

This summer, we will once again be setting up our Antibiotics Unearthed stand, where the public will be able to take part in some activities about the search for antibiotics and antibiotic resistance. Then, people interested in contributing will be given a sample pot to take on their walk around the forest, to collect a sample and then follow their results.

Keep track of what is happening by following us on Twitter at @MicrobioSoc or on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/antibioticsunearthed
