Member Directory

Members with longer standing memories may recall that the Microbiology Society used to produce a Directory that contained relevant professional information about other members: their interests and expertise, and how to contact them.

The Directory was spoken of highly by many participants during our recent membership workshops, who described it as a useful resource for networking and a way of helping build a presence in our own microbiology ‘community’.

The Society is delighted to announce that the Directory is returning, in an online, password-secured format that will only be accessible to Society members. The Directory will be available for member use later in the year. Members are reminded all data is held in accordance with current Data Protection legislation.

We would encourage as many of you as possible to be listed within the Directory, in order for it to become a fully comprehensive and useful member resource. Used well, it will help put members in touch to advance their professional development and provide opportunities to engage with others. Our intention is to list all members in the Directory, unless they specifically request not to be. If for any reason you would prefer not to be listed please let us know by Friday 8 September. You can read more about the Directory, the information we intend to include in it, and how you can opt out if it should you wish to, here.
