International

The Microbiology Society provides funds to support microbiologists and develop microbiology, teaching and research in countries defined as low-income or lower-middle-income economies by the World Bank.

Postgraduate Student Members who are studying in a country in the European Union may be eligible to apply for a Society Conference Grant or Research Visits Grant.

Full Members anywhere in the world may be eligible to apply for a Research Visit Grant or Travel Grant to support visits to laboratories or attendance at conferences in the UK or Republic of Ireland.

Applications should be submitted by email, giving the grant name in the subject line.

  1. International Development Fund

    The Society aims to assist microbiologists in countries with low-income or lower-middle-income economies (as defined by the World Bank) through the International Development Fund.
