Overview

David Weston explored what the research is telling us about supporting teachers to improve, what is happening in the system to make this happen and what the barriers are. David highlighted the best ways for organisations to support the development of teaching.

David Weston is the founder and Chief Executive of the Teacher Development Trust, and the Chair of the Department for Education’s Teacher Development Expert Group. He is a school governor and a former secondary maths and physics teacher.

A free buffet lunch was served from 12:30–13:00, followed by the talk and questions from 13:00–14:00.
